Not that I want a full time job or
anything....being officially retired is great.....I have been glancing
through craigslist and TWC for a bit now. The ads on craigslist
totally amuse me.
Examples (I cut and pasted straight from the ads, by the way)
#1
* Ability to Handle Walking Customers
* Expert Skills in MS EXCELL And WORD ( ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE GOOD WITH EXCELL AND WORD )
~~~ Yet, they don't even know how to spell Excel....and I am guessing they mean walk-in customers??~~~
#2
* Accuracy, able to follow instructions and attention detail are of vital importance as is the willing to adapt to changes.
~~~They were not able to write the above sentence correctly themselves, no wonder they need help in the office. HA~~~
===================================
Okay.....so how about this part of an ad for Customer Service I just found on craigslist???
*We offer vacation, paid holidays, medical coverage (in which the
company pays 75% of the premiums), option for AFLAC and the opportunity
to make money.
~~~Ummmmm don't most jobs give you the opportunity to make money? I mean, that is why we work, right?? hahahaha ~~`
Hoot Hoot
The owls for the second group in the swap. Mom says these look like little fat girl owls. Ha.
Score!
So
um, well, I took out hamburger meat to thaw....and forgot it last
night. Ooops. This morning....half of it is magically missing.
Hummmmm I also have two cats that did not come running to see if they
could talk me into feeding them early.
So, can you guess which
two cats are going to be spending the day in their catroom? I am sort
of keeping fingers crossed that it will not make them sick, when they
are not used to eating raw, uncooked meat?? I put down dry cat food,
and water.....hopefully they breeze through the day with no issues.
Silly cats.
Yes, I will never forget to put the meat away in the fridge again, I hope.
Riding behind the snow blower sander guy. We were headed to Reno on Sunday.....the mountains in Austin area were totally snow/icy. It had been warm all week, at least in our area....so we didn't expect it. Mitchell dis a swell job of getting us through it safely. Thank goodness for the snow chains we bought the weekend in San Francisco.
More cow-i-ness
- Terrie Lynn Gelman Q. What do you call a cow that has been knighted by the queen??? A. Sir Loin Steak
- Terrie Lynn Gelman Q: What do you call a cow with 2 legs?
A: Lean Beef
Q: What do you call a cow with no legs?
A: Ground Beef - Terrie Lynn Gelman A farmer was milking his cow. He was just starting to get a good rhythm going when a bug flew into the barn and started circling his head. Suddenly, the bug flew into the cow's ear. The farmer didn't think much about it, until the bug squirted out into his bucket.
It went in one ear and out the udder! - Terrie Lynn Gelman NOW.....noooooooooooowwwwww I am going to go and be crafty for a bit. Hahahahahaha
- Terrie Lynn Gelman Okay......wellllllllllllllllllll......maybe time for one more.......... There was a herd of cattle all standing on a hill when an earthquake struck. All of the cows fell down, but the bull remained standing. The farmer noticing this went out and asked the bull, "Why didn't you fall down like the rest of the herd. The bull replied, "We bulls wobble, but we don't fall down."
Cow-i-ness
Yesterday (01-24), when I went to our little store.....there was a guy pulled off to the side of the road. I get close enough to see what is going on......he is out taking a picture of a cow. Yelp, that is how exciting it is around here. bwahahahaha
- Terrie Lynn Gelman Kind of makes me wish the cows would come to visit us again so I can take a picture of them in our yard. <snicker> It would be a totally mooooooving photo, for sure.
- Terrie Lynn Gelman If I could get a picture of the cow, with one of the little churches in the background...I could consider calling the picture "holy cow".
- Terrie Lynn Gelman Maybe, I should just go out and take a picture of the empty field......title of the picture? Ninja Cows bwahahahaha
- Terrie Lynn Gelman ^ In defense of the above statement on Ninja Cows......most of the cows in this area are Black Angus. Black as in Ninja color?? People are always posting pictures of rooms or scenes and asking if you can find the ninja. Okay....make more sense now??
- Carol Naegele Maybe.. its not a Ninja cow, but Mateo's "girlfriend" cow!!!! LOL Sorry, that whole thing is just redonkulous
- Marji Reineke Franklin lmbo, I've done that before!! hahaha, I've lived in the country most of my life, I just love cowsDaniel Money You should have gotten up real close to the guy and jumped out to get a picture of the same cow. Acted all excited like it was a celebrity.Daniel Money "Om my gosh! Is that...? Oh! It totally is! It's the cow! Whooooooooooooo! Oh man! I have to get a picture or no one will believe me!"
Mitchell GelmanY'all are weird!
Phone Book
This is our phone book for this region. It is 34 1/2 pages of the white pages and 21 pages being the yellow pages for business. Don't you just love it?
Cattiness - today
Ms Tuna purred at/for me today. Finally! I am not sure she knew she was doing it tho. I was getting her and Wheeler food ready on the counter. My legs were being sufficiently loved on....when I heard the purring. I looked down to talk to Wheeler....and to my surprise, it was Tuna! Yea. Next step.....getting her to relax and purr when I am holding her. :)
Cat stuff (yesterday)
Yesterday:
The
ruckus you are hearing in the bathroom? Oh that....well....it is Ms
Tuna. She is playing with one of their little bitty toy mice. Having a
pretty darn good time from the noise she is making. She keeps peeking
around the door at me....just to make sure I haven't moved and tried to
sneak up on her!
I really messed with her head today. It was
time for breakfast, and I picked her up. Yes, all four feet, head, body
and tail......and held her for a couple of minutes. She really doesn't
like that at all. Ha. I keep waiting...there is a purr in there
somewhere....I will find it.
==========================
Ms Tuna slinked by.....probably thinking I didn't see her......now there is this cattiness coming from the front room. She is apparently getting the better of Wheeler now. Seems to me the warmer weather has Ms Tuna all feisty today.
Cancer
I have several friends dealing with cancer issues. Makes anything I am dealing with seem like such a silly thing to even be thinking about.
I started tearing into the scrap room closet today. I plan to do a whole bunch in there tomorrow. Everything out. Then *only* things boxed nicely and ready to move back to Texas will go in there. I have to figure out if I can fit everything in my scrap room in a small truck. I am already having that hard time of letting things go. <sigh> I knew I would. Yet, I have a whole month to get it sorted out. I will do this....by myself.....nothing for Mitchell to have to do but put it on a truck with it is time.
Mitchell was so sweet tonight. I took out both pork chops and chicken. I had no idea what to make for dinner. We also have the pizza from the weekend. So I gave him his choice. He wasn't ready for dinner right after work, of course.....sooooo he got stuck with pork chops when I was ready to start something. hehe
He came in and asked to help. I told him he isn't supposed to help after working all day. He said he likes to be around me.....which that statement, how can I not let him help? Right? He got the hard job of putting foil on the pan and seasoning the chops.
I got the sheets and pillow cases done today. So the bed was fresh and neat for him. Also did all the towels from the cat bath room. Tomorrow will be the sheets on the couches and chairs that the critters sit on.
Speaking of critters, the sun came in just right today.....all three pugs were stretched out on the couch in the sunbeam. Bet it felt good to them.
I started Wheeler on his hair ball medicine yesterday. He got sick twice today. There wasn't much hair in it. Yes, that is grose to write about, I know. I am doing it cause I think that might be progress already for him. I can't wait for this to work and him start putting on some weight.
Sunday, funday.
Sam's shopping done. Back to Walmart for a couple things...done. Sitting in room not doing a darn thing....ahhhhhh Nice.
Taking pugs to Petsmart in a little bit to get them out and about. They love all the attention they get when there.
Later will be TGIFridays for dinner.....and at 10 we go to the comedy show. What a great Sunday we are having.
===========================
I woke up from dozing while he was watching tv....with that spinning vertigo issue. I am so scared! I don't want to deal with that ever again.
I prayed hard.....rebuking satan. I can only hope and pray God blesses me and removes this from me now....and takes it away forever! In Jesus' name. Amen and Amen.
Bingo ?? Pool??
Nope, no Bingo. We gave it a try tho. Boulder Station, the casino next to our Motel 6. Thought we would go and check it out just to see if we are missing anything.
I told Mitchell I was going to kick his A** at pool. hahahaha Of course, I didn't. It is always fun to play with him. <wink>
The last two pictures are at In and Out. They had some little sticker pages.....Mitchell brought them to the table. I played along and it was fun. Being a kid now and then is good for a person, right?
