Let me introduce, Mr Peaches.   He is my fun mystery challenge project from The Crochet Crowd.

Mr Peaches is a Latin dance instructor.  ALLLLLLL the ladies love him and his mustache.

Poor poor pugs

Such a bad pug momma I am today.  This is how the poor dear things have to sleep on the couch cause I am washing their pillow and doggie bed...at the same time.  Poor poor mistreated things.....

Texas....are you ready for me??

The G=kids will be on spring break soon.  Son2 will be having his birthday.  I wanted so very much to go to Texas to enjoy all of this with them.

After figuring up the price of airfare, a car, gas, food, maybe a hotel or two....it was going to be 1,500 to 2,000.  Seriously!!  I think it is cause it is spring break time for all of the schools.....so things go up in price during this time.

So......I accepted that we could not afford it.

Then thought some more....what if I rent a car in Vegas and drive??  Mr Awesome helped and we looked at that option from all sides.  Alas....not going to use this option.  Know why7??  He found me tickets on Spirit!  Reasonable price and everything.  He didn't want me to spend two days of my time driving both ways....he said he would rather have me spend it with family and friends instead.  :)

Yes, I head out tomorrow...come back to TMON the end of March.  I am so excited! 

All I ever wanted from life....was to have family near and do family type things.  I wanted to be a good Grammie and just enjoy life.   I am so darn grateful I will get to spend this time with them again.

Mr. Awesome is....well......Awesome!

Is that a TARDIS??

I kept telling Mr. Awesome that there was a TARDIS hiding in this puzzle.  Okay, okay...it might only be blue windows.....but well, close your eyes and tilt your head just right.....and it "could" be my beloved TARDIS.  <wink>

This puzzle went so smoothly.  I am guessing it is because the colors are so obvious and bright.  It is missing several pieces.  I picked it up from the library, so we kind of expected to have some missing.  One neat thing, this puzzle had really odd shaped pieces.  Some of them made little dogs or cats.  :)

Just life

Nothing much going on in TMON.  Which is kind of nice.  :)  Beautiful weather, when the wind is not trying to blow the house and everything around us off the mountain.  hahaha   I sure like sitting out in the sun with the pugs every chance we can.

Today we went to Tonopah to check into some court stuff.  That mean lunch at Burger King.  Fish sandwich.  Yum.

Looked for frozen goodies to put in the freezer.  Now that we have one....I want to make good use of it.  Not much added to our stash tho.  Not much variety in this area....and it costs way more than I want to pay.

RL called.  She starts her official "boss" position tomorrow. :)  She already hired her first two people.  So proud of her.  She told us about Shane doing really good this year in school.  I am VERY proud to hear that.  I suspect it is cause they are not in that expensive school district any more.  He is comfortable now.  My heart is so happy for him.

So, there you go.  More or less, an update.

Whew....took forever!

Finally...at long last.....we finished this one.  Started it before Christmas.  For some reason it was hard to work.  It is only 500 pieces....but.....well.....it is done!   Doing a happy dance.  hehe

Doctor

Seems my thyroid level is high.  So I will back off the levoxyl and stay the same on the armour.

Did a ekg for my heart.  Will go see a heart doctor soon. 

Also see a thyroid doc again in the future.

Will do a sleep test again....can do it at home this time.  Cool.

Motel

 

The pugs always chose to sleep on my bed when at the various motels.  I just thought Cinderella was looking cute, and took this photo to share with everyone.

While driving back home yesterday....we were watching this particular "cloud".  I think it is actually, possibly snow, somehow.

We, both of us, could see a rainbow on the left side of the "cloud", at the bottom, close to the ground.  But, you could only see if when wearing sunglasses.

The blue pic is regular photo.....the other one is with my glasses over the lens.   Alas....could not get the rainbow to show up.

The cloud was interesting.
 

Cinderella

Cinderella is doing great!  I bet she has no memory of yesterday.  This morning she woke and greeted me in her normal happy mood.  Oh, she is sore, you can tell....I bet she will be totally over this by Sunday.   Amazing how dogs heal so fast.

I am thankful to have my little happy girl back. :)

Reno

We are in Reno for the next couple days.  Major stocking up on food stuff needed.  Let me tell you about the ride!

1. I saw three antelope.  First time I have ever seen them, in the wild.

2. Wild mustangs!  Maybe 30 of them!  We saw something going on way ahead of us.  Not hard to do when everything is flat for miles and miles.  Ha!  Anyway...turns out....they were on both sides of the road and crossing it also.  Lori Lou was in total heaven barking...running back and forth to both sides of the suv.  Mr Awesome and I both picked out one we would like to have.  :)

3. Some time ago, I attempted to drive up the mountain behind our home to see what the clouds are made of.  I am meaning the clouds that come over the top and drop down all the way to the ground.  I was not able to get high enough.  Well, today....I found out what they are.....snow and tiny pieces of ice.  We have to drive up and down, in and out of mountains.  I can now close the chapter on that bit of info I was seeking.  :)

Now it down time in the room.  Eating pizza.  Yum.

Today in Tonopah

Haven't been posting much, as I would guess anyone could see by the dates of the posts. Ha.

Anyway, today was the day to take Cinderella to get spayed.  I needed to wait till 1:00 to pick her back up.  That gave me time to mess around in Tonopah.

Started off with getting to the morning AA meeting.  It was on step 9.   Then open discussion.  I talked about how I was hating it here...not fitting in.....whine whine whine.   Felt good to leave it on the table and walk out without that negativness today.

 It was suggested to find someone to do something nice for...everyday....and not get caught.  I used to do that long ago.  Now....how will I go about doing it here in TMON?  A challenge, it would seem.

Also suggested to get involved in something...anything.  Hummmmm   Maybe go back to see if I can volunteer at library?

Went to Family Dollar and looked around.  chips were on sale.  :)

Then decided to get my hair cut/styled.  I really want to grow it out all long again....she did a really nice job on setting it up to be a "bob" style.  I feel pretty.

Cinderella

She is all "fixed" now.  No more wee pups in her future.  She doesn't know this, of course.  I sort of feel bad for the dogs when they get fixed....cause I know it is painful.  It is so much better for them in the long run, tho.  Plus, there are plenty of puppies and dogs out there waiting for a good home.  It is not a very responsible thing to bring more into the world.

Now she is all dopy and shivery and sleepy.   Arrt and Lori Lou keep sniffing and checking on her.

I miss her happy bouncy personality.  Hopefully she will feel better tomorrow.

Nature....again

I swear....TMON has some of the strangest sights.  Today. over to the left of us....was one of those clouds that hug the mountains as they come over the top.  It dropped all the way down the side.....and across the road along with a fair amount of the land on the other side.  It was white.

I took the pugs to there favorite sniffing spot......while they were messing around....it started snowing/hailing on me!  Tiny little bitty pieces of hail.   Load up the dogs and head back home.

From the house, a wee bit later.....I could see what looked like a dust devil, only it was in the white area where the cloud was still hanging....and it was totally white!  I was wondering if it would be considered a snow-devil or hail-devil??  hehe  It was too far away to drive to check it out.....so I will never know.

Again, nature found a way to fascinate me.

Carpet

I am such a goofball at times.  : )   We have a nice carpet cleaner.  Had it for 3-4 years, or so. I have never used it cause Mr. Awesome always does the floors.

Today I decided to try to clean this carpet.  Not sure it will do much good with all the dirt in TMON, but it is worth a try.

I looked up how to set it up...you can find anything online.  : )  Well...no water came out.  hummmmm I tried it several times....then gave up.  I would wait to ask him how he did it.

I starts checking out the machine....and......hahahahahahahahaha  I never put water in the front holder.  You know why??  The instructions never said to put in the water.  Oh my word.....I laughed quite a bit over this.

I did this type of thing back when I was in school.  I don't there was a name for it....it was just doodling to kill time.  Well, I found out there are groups that share their pictures and designs with each other.  Yes~  I am hooked and back to doing it.

V-Day

So today is the man made holiday. Ha.  Yes, we tend to do little things for each other....sometimes big things.  Depends on what is going on each year.

This year, he picked up that pretty ivy plant I asked for.  The one we named Venus.  Today, I left a rock on his desk for him.  I painted "Love You More" on it with a little piece of bling in the "o".  The rock looks like a heart.  It made him smile.

Since it is payday weekend....after the bills were covered....we took a trip to Tonopah.  I picked out all kinds of good snacks for our cabinet.  Also found two really wild pajama pants.  they are bright pink over all....one iwth hearts and peace signs and such.  One is an animal print.  Love them!

He went to talk to the bank. 

Afterwards we went and had the wonderful oriental food in Tonopah.
