Hawk

I just found these while out with the pugs. They are orange in color. Maybe they are off my hawk I call Alan? I didn't find anything but these feathers. So hopefully it is alive and only lost them in a bird fight somehow.

Okay....update....I did the searches and it is a red tail hawk....and apparently it is illegal to own them. They are protected birds.....Native Americans are allowed to have them....I am Cherokee in my background....Great Grandparents....wonder if that will count?? I am being serious. I called and left a message with the Nevada nature society to see what I need to do to keep them.....I would love to put in a frame or scrap book. If not.....then how the heck or what the heck am I supposed to do with them?? More will be revealed.

Update on the hawk feathers.....I have to destroy them. There is not a form or anything to be filled out in order to keep them. Sad. Such pretty feathers. She did say it was okay to take pictures and keep those.....so I will. I told her I knew we had the hawk cause I named him Alan after Hawkeye on MASH. She chuckled. I also told her I did not locate any injured bird.....of course, we all know, if the bird went down....the coyotes would have taken care of any thing on the ground.

At least this is something interesting that happened in TMON to be talked about in the future.
