Went
to craft store today....needed a black button to fix skirt for the
daughter. Yes, I have tons of buttons....but all packed away....easier
to buy one.
Did you know Michael's doesn't have button
section? I didn't know this. But I did get a couple good deals for the
G=kids. *For the one who is into origami, I bought one of those 180
12x12 pads or paper in boy type colors. He can make big
things, or we will can cut down if he decides. * For the other boy, I
found a wood burning kit on sale for $4.99. Should be an interesting
event for us to try out. *The girl? I found a bead kit to make 14 chain
things. Should keep her busy....picking up spilled beads, if nothing
else. Ha.
I figure, if I am going to *have* to be the one to
watch them this summer....then by God we are going to be crafting.
hehehe That will teach them to hang out with a grammie. <very big
smile>

Oh....and they all three have a car model to put together. going to give that a try.

Another day on this earth.....
Started off with a huge smile on G-girl's face. I put her name in gold glitter glue on a purple ball cap. They are doing field day stuff at school. Her favorite part? The gold glitter on the little button on top. Made her laugh.
The daughter came in to show her pretty skirt and shirt combo for the day. My little tomboy daughter has turned into a very nice grown up.
Lori Lou is all happy on her pillow, up on the couch, sound asleep, like always.
The count is 3 days till Mr Awesome graces Texas with his presence.
Me?? What about me, you ask??? Ummmmm nothing going on yet. I have great ideas of wonderful things to keep me busy.....but they all involve getting up and dressed. That is wayyyyyyy to much work. bwahahaha

Just kid stuff
G-girl and G-son2 are hanging out in my room.
She was making a cootie catcher (which she insists it is a fortune teller). I had to chuckle when she was trying to show me each step on how to make one. I finally told her that I have been making them since I was a kid. So far my fortune has said, I am cool, I am going to have a bird, and I am going to be rich. I think I like this fortune teller. hehe
He is making more butterflies for my future origami hanging art work. I went through my 8-1/2 x 11 paper and cut several sheets down to size. Then split it so he would have some fun colors to play with as he works on learning other creations. He is going to be an origami guru.
Happy Grammie time.

For
the record, I am doing my best to get over my fear of wood roaches.
Far as I know I have had it all my life. It is really a silly fear,
cause they are not a nasty bug, not like those itty bitty brown ones.
They are basically a beetle.....they live in trees, they like paper,
wood and glue type things.
And they fly........at me. *willies*
I live in mortal fear of them. Blindly, heart starts racing, hands
shake, break out in a cold sweat, scream like a little girl.....fear.
If I find one inside....I will have to leave the room it is in and
hopefully find someone to go and do something about it for me.....if no
one is home, I can't go back into the room till someone goes and checks
it out for me.
Two days ago....I got bold and sprayed three of
the suckers outside on the front sidewalk. Proud of myself cause
instead of running, I tried to do something to get rid of them. Then
proceeded to sleep with the light on cause I was sure they would send in
the troupes to punish me. Ha.
Tonight, one flew at
me......damn thing! I made my stupid scared girl sound, and came to
find my spray....I sneak back out the front door to find the
thing....then realized there is a gecko on the roof of the porch. Well
poooooh. I can't spray now....I don't want to do anything that might
hurt the gecko.
G=son2 comes in the area about this
time....and says are you looking for this....and points at the wood
roach.....on the floor....inside the door! Accccckkkkkk I jump to the
other room. bwahahaha He proceeds to get a shoe, hunt it down and
remove it from the room. Yea for my hero!!!
By the way.....I
told the whole family, anyone who kills a wood roach, inside the house,
will get a dollar. So yes, he earned himself another dollar tonight.
:)
For those who do not know me all that well....I am not
afraid of much of anything....I have had all kinds of critters through
the years. Which is why I figure this fear has got to be
conquered....fear of a silly little bug......sheesh.
